The Center’s Approach

One of the key goals of the Center is to overcome the nation-state focused and Eurocentric approach to teaching, researching and writing about political thought all too often utilized. The Center will highlight and expand upon the work of people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities and regions throughout the world. Drawing from this strength of diversity, it seeks to initiate and promote a global outlook regarding political thought and public policy. In doing this, it hopes and expects to have a substantial impact on teaching, research, writing and publishing in the area as more and more individuals, groups and institutions realize that anything other than a global approach is no longer viable.
